DO WE PROVIDE A DOOR TO DOOR SERVICE?
Yes we do. Our quote includes collection and delivery to final destination.
DO YOU OFFER PRIVATE AND SHARED LOADS?
Private transport allows you to determine the exact date and time of both collection and delivery.
Shared transport offers the most competitive rates of travel where horses are grouped together and delivered on a regionalised load.
WHERE DO WE TRANSPORT TO?
- Anywhere in Ireland
- UK 3-4 times weekly
TRANSPORT MUST BE PAID PRIOR TO OR ON DEPARTURE
IS MY HORSE INSURED WHILE IN TRANSIT?
All horses are handled at owner's risk and it is assumed that horses are fully insured by their owners. Transit insurance can be arranged upon request at owners expense.
WHAT DO I NEED TO TRAVEL MY HORSES?
Passport, headcollar, travel sheet/rug. Travel sheets can be supplied at an extra cost if required. If travelling outside of the UK, relevant Health Travel Documents are required
EQUIPMENT
Tack and equipment may travel with the horse by prior arrangement. While we take the utmost care, we cannot accept any responsibility for any lost or damaged equipment.
IMPORTANT NOTICE
All horses for export must be on AIM’s – DAFM’s centralised Equine Database and the Equine Chip Checker:
https://equine-chipcheck.apps.services.agriculture.gov.ie
It is now a requirement as part of the export Application process to DAFM that a screenshot of the Equine chip checker results are included.
In advance of exporting a horse you must ensure:
A. The animal exists on the Equine Chip Checker
B. That the food chain status reflects the passport
A. If the horse is not on the Equine Chip Checker you must complete and submit the following to Weatherbys:
1. The passport
2. Completed change of ownership application (online or paper) 3. Valid Equine Premises number and Keeper details
4. Fee of €22
B. To update the Food Chain Status
Send the passport to Weatherbys or email a copy of the passport with the relevant pages (the pedigree page, medicinal/administration of medical products page) to studbookireland@weatherbys.ie and the subject line should read “Urgent Update to Fit for Human Consumption Status”.
Important to note: Horses with foreign country codes such as GB, FR, GER, USA, ITY, etc. they will not be on AIM’s until a change of ownership has been submitted and completed by Weatherbys Ireland.
